Southern California Edison

SCE
Working with Promorphics, LLC, Userthink led multiple initiatives at Southern California Edison focused on SAP Business Objects business intelligence dashboards and scorecards. Userthink gathered requirements, led design meetings, assessed business data needs, and designed dashboards using Xcelsius that provided SCE with meaningful, robust visual data.

Colonial Pipeline

Colonial Pipeline
Working alongside the TerraNova Group, Userthink (then ISG Consultants, Inc.) conducted a study of the sleep-wake patterns (circadian rhythm) and related work issues of pipeline controllers. Based on the findings from the study, the Userthink experts suggested a new work schedule for the control room workers.

Further, Userthink conducted a study of the alarm system for each controller relevant to the pipeline. The Userthink team conducted many usability tests using a control station simulator to assess issues with alarms and reaction time associated with each alarm. Although no potentially serious issues related to the alarm system and the controllers' reaction times were found, the results of the study led to a redesign of the alarm system and the manner by which they are displayed and handled.

Chick-fil-A

Working in conjunction with Creative Covergence, LLC., Userthink led the design effort for a web-based training application using WebDVD and touch screen technologies. The initiative required a high level of knowledge of training techniques and on-line tutoring. Our consultants are well versed in these areas, having earned post-graduate degrees in human factors, cognitive psychology, with specializations in training and on-line tutoring.

The project was a success and is used within the Chick-fil-A training strategy today.

SpringCM

SpringCM
SpringCM already had an online documentation management system.  However, they began to receive customer complaints about its usability and SpringCM wanted to increase the functionality of the application.
Working closely with top stakeholders, Userthink gathered requirements and designed a robust and easy-to-use application.

Userthink's design is now live at http://www.springcm.com
